Today I want to talk about Combined Chinese Therapy or (CCT). CCT is simply a way of combining various therapies from Chinese Medicine and using them together to treat a patient.
WHY CCT?
Some people are very sceptical about CCT. But then again, some people are sceptical about Traditional Chinese Medicine full stop.
But I know that the various techniques and therapies used in Chinese medicine work. I've seen it with my own eyes and I have lots of testimonials from cured clients too.
As you may or may not know, I'm a passionate believer in the healing power of tuina massage and also in using Chi Kung to heal people. So what you might be thinking is, "Anthony, if these therapies are so good, why do you need to combine them?"
Good question. The answer is that whilst separate therapies can indeed cure some people, for others, their ailments and illnesses are the physical symptoms of several things that need correcting. Each person is unique and each ailment is also, to a certain extent unique.
By using CCT I can offer each patient a full range of Chinese therapies that will work together to cure them of their ailment. I continuously asses their progress and their health. Every visit I 'listen' to their body, I 'see' where it needs support and treatment and I provide the correct mix of treatments to return my clients to full health.
What Happens In A CCT Session?
Not every session of CCT is the same. In one session the client might need acupuncture alone. It could be that way for six or seven sessions. At the eighth session I could determine from the patient's health, that today I should combine acupuncture with Chinese cupping or an mo fu - a Taoist internal organ massage.
I vary the treatments I use to suit the individual needs of the patient on that particular day, but still with the long-term aim of curing the patient. For many patients four CCT sessions can suffice.
CCT is, in a way, the gold standard of Chinese medicine. It combines therapies that have been used successfully for thousands of years with the latest research to provide a treatment that is natural, non-invasive and that works with the body to cure the body. And what's more, you get all the therapies you need in one place, at one price. You don't need to go from therapist to therapist or appointment after appointment. You can get all the treatment your body needs; notice I stress the word, needs, in one place. This is why I'm such a firm believer in the benefits of CCT.
