Moxibustion

Muscle Testing & Skeletal Evaluation

Using tendino-muscular pathways and the law of the five elements, an accurate picture of structural imbalance can be obtained. There are documented links between certain organs and muscle groups. By testing these muscles, additional diagnostic information can be obtained.

Paediatric Tui Na

This amazing therapy is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and was developed from Tui Na over a thousand years ago. Paediatric Tui Na influences your child's energetic system using gentle massage over acupressure points. Various techniques boost the function of the internal organs by balancing their energy flow or Qi (pron. 'Chee'), strengthening the immune system, and promoting brain development.
Unlike Western infant massage, the Chinese system uses specific treatments for different complaints. It is a safe and extremely effective therapy for the treatment of a wide range of common ailments. Paediatric Tui Na uses a series of points and energetic pathways specific to younger children. Results are often quick and without side effects. Infants have unrefined energetic pathways (called 'Meridians'), yet every aspect of your baby's growth and development depends on its smooth flow.
A  strong immune system means a good resistance to childhood ailments and a reduction in the tendency to react to allergenic compunds that may well be the source of asthma and eczema. Paediatric Tui Na enables you to balance the intrinsic energies of your child's body and mind. A well-developed mind-body system ensures healthy co-ordination that enhances the development of the physical skills such as writing, drawing and motor skills.
This form of Chinese massage therapy is completely holistic in its action. All mothers want to give their children the best start in life. This means doing all that is possible to allow your child to develop to the full potential determined by genetic quotient.

Tao Yin Cranial Therapy

Bones of the cranium (skull) move rythmically, forming a dynamic pump system with the sacrum bone (in the pelvis). The Taoists have long recognised this sytem as the micro-cosmic orbit. Modern research has shown this sytem is central to our skeletal, muscular, nervous and endocrine systems. These systems are reliant on the circulation of cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF) from the brain down the spine. Many health disorders can be resolved through balancing the system via the skull and sacrum.

Tui Na

Chinese physical therapy which focuses on the meridian system of the body. Its application is used in chinese hospitals and is a distinct medical system in its own right. Typical sessions include physical manipulation and activation of pressure points by the fingers and hands.
